botanical garden article

Last 11 of September I went to the biggest garden in Bogota city, The Botanical Garden which is located in the 63 street near to the airport, this garden was made in honor of Jose Celestino Mutis the first naturalist that explored the territory of what is now Colombia, fact that make this garden very valuable in terms of history.

This garden is opened to the public every day since 8am until 5pm, the value per person is between 4-12 years 1,400 and 13-59 is of 2,500 pesos. Once you get in the garden you don’t need anything else than relax and disconnect from the whole world, if you prefer a guide can help you to explore the garden and learn about all of the plants that are found here, otherwise you can walk around and just chill with your family, you are available to enter food but the garden also has a cafeteria with different types of drinks and meals, but anyway this is an ecologic park so garbage most be deposit into the corresponding place and not to the green areas. Obviously you are not allowed to take any plant out.

From my point of view this garden is perfect to breathe fresh air and to enjoy sound of nature, the garden is big enough to spend a whole day walking but i recommend you to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

You should go and enjoy this great opportunity to learn and explore more about your country.
